Before May 1st Final admission decision. Tilburg University will send the admission letter including the statement of allocation of grants plus the "Ticket to Tilburg", a manual that describes what students need to know and do, to prepare for arrival to the Netherlands .
May 15th Tilburg University will start the visa procedure. Students will be contacted for any other required documents.
Mid August The student will receive "Pack your Bags", a manual that gives the student extensive information on things to do and be aware of before departure to the Netherlands.
August 20th Start Welcome Week for international students. The students will receive the booklet "Tilburg Survival Kit". It contains information on topics the student needs to know about during their stay in Tilburg.

    Application package
The application package of each candidate should include the following documents:

A complete and signed application form, which is available online A certified copy of the student's Bachelor's diploma
A sworn English translation of all diplomas/certificates and a transcript of records/list of grades
A NESO certificate, to be issued by the Netherlands Eductional Support Office (NESO) in Beijing. See: www.nesobeijing.com
A copy of the student's passport
An additional copy of all documents mentioned above

Important information about the NESO certificate
Please note that Tilburg University prefers to receive the NESO-certificate of each appliant by 15 April 2006. In case this is not possible, because the NESO office needs a minimum of 4 weeks to process and appliation for a NESO certificate, Tilburg University is willing to accept the NESO-certificate no later than 15 May 2007. Without the NESO-certificate, Tilburg University is unable to start the visa procedure on behalf of the student.

Important information for current Bachelor students
Those students, who are in the last year of their Bachelor programme and are applying for a Master's programme at Tilburg University, should provide an official Statement of Enrollment of their home university as well as the transcripts of the first three and a half year of their programme instead of the full Bachelor degree. This is considerd sufficient evidence for the NESO certificate procedure. So students do not need to wait before applying untill the have formally received their Bachelor degree.

    Research Master's/PhD Degree Scheme
Apart from the Double Master's Degree Scheme mentioned above, the bilateral agreements between Tilburg University and its Chinese partners also include the opportunity for highly qualified students to apply for a Research Master's/PhD track in Tilburg. Two Research Master's Programmes are offered, one in Economics and one in Business. Both programmes take two years and lead to an MPhil degree. After the successful completion of the Research Master's students are eligible to enter the three-year dissertation phase in Economics and Business, leading to the title Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). A special financial arrangement is available for outstanding students who are admitted to this scheme.

Partners interested to nominate a candidate for one of the MPhil programmes are invited to submit the application package before 15 April 2007. The package should include the saem documents as those needed for the MSc programmes (see above) plus two academic references.
